It's been a long while since we featured someone in this section of the blog! I guess we haven't found someone worthy enough as...
What is your size?
I fluctuate between a 6, 8, or 10 (US Size).
Who is your style icon?
If I had to pick one, I would go with Kim Kardashian. I love how she dresses to accentuate her curves. She embraces having hips and butts, and I love that. I also love Victoria Beckham because she makes everything look so glamorous, and I love her book!
Favorite store?
Forever 21 – hands down. We don’t have Zara or H&M down here but those two come in close. I love looking through TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Ross for deals, too. :)
Favorite pieces of clothing to wear?
I absolutely love wearing skirts and dresses. I even wear it to basketball games even though I have a hard time sitting in the bleachers sometimes. And I guess people already know the obsession I have with shoes. I love shoes because no matter how much weight I lose or gain, I stay the same size. :)
How do you want people to see your style?
I want people to look at me and think that they can wear what I’m wearing. I don’t want to be too eccentric to a point where it looks like a costume of some sort. I usually go more for comfort. If a dress is too short, I’ll wear a longer hemmed skirt underneath so that I don’t feel uncomfortable walking around.
Where do you get your confidence from?
Everywhere! There are times when I feel frustrated because I don’t think anything looks good but then a co-worker will tell me that she loves what I’m wearing and ask me where I shop and it’s definitely a confidence boost. I get confidence from my husband when he tells me that I look “hot” in something. And for some weird reason, I get confidence from “haters.” These are the people who tell me that I’m too dressed up for work and make rude remarks about the shoes I’m wearing . . . at least I’m catching their attention, right? Enough for them to say something about what I’m wearing anyway!
How important are other people’s perception of you to you?
It’s important to a certain extent. I usually dress for me and what I feel comfortable in but I wouldn’t want to be the person people are staring at for the wrong reasons. I want their comments to be on the positive aspects of what I’m wearing.
