Ola girlies! :) I missed sharing OoTD's with you! Forgive the pause from blogging, second semester just began and I had to psyche myself to be in the moment, realize that I am once again back to being a college student, and sober up from the amazing break hang over.
Lately, it seems like fashion is trending towards the '90s grunge era, and I LOVE THE '90s. I love everything about it--from 3D stereograms (Magic Eye, anyone?), the awesome music that I will never get enough of (No Doubt, The Cranberries, Garbage--specially Garbage! Shirley Manson, how I love thee, The Cardigans, Run DMC--I can go on an on but I'll stop here), the plaid button downs and jumpers--there's just something about the '90s that makes it ME, 'ya know (most likely because we were born during this time)?
After getting the Dorothy Perkins biker boots (again, thank you Danah, I will forever be grateful), I saw these awesome workman lace-ups on Forever 21's site that are just screaming grunge fashion. I couldn't help but want to own it and seeing that the price was relatively cheap, I headed to Mega Mall with my fingers crossed, hoping that they'd still have a pair to accommodate my huge feet.
LO AND BEHOLD, THE LAST PAIR OF SIZE 10 WAS RIGHT THERE ON THE SHELF, WAITING FOR ME TO BRING IT HOME! :)
I'll just cut to the chase--here are the two outfits that I've come up with starring trends from the nineties:

I ended up doing away with the vest because I felt like it was too much, and I was only going out for dinner and drinks with a couple of guy mates. :D I'll include Danah's outfit of the day while I'm at it since she's in the photo anyway (and because I know she won't do it). RANDOM FACT: I am what you call in Filipino sakang, so I was really trying to defy that fact hence the semi-weird stance in the photos. :D

I like it because it goes well with the coming Christmas season, and a good friend of mine told me that reindeers taste really good, so this pendant acts as a reminder of their savoury meaty goodness that I have yet to try. :D
And if you're wondering why my hair is now orange, it turned orange by accident. I bought Revlon Custom Effects Highlights in Champagne and used it all over my head (instead of just dying streaks of hair), and its outcome is supposed to be blonde, but I guess my hair is too dark to reach that light of a shade. Meh. I don't mind anyway. In fact, I might keep it orange for awhile after I unexpectedly saw this photo of Shirley Manson sporting an identical hairstyle as mine (my hair is just really thick)! :>
