She's been one of the sweetest supporters of our blog (I remember chatting with her for about an hour, talking about how our blog really changed her body-image). I love how open her heart is to our advocacy, that she was able to grasp and fathom the real meaning of body love. Check out Honey Andrade, a fellow blogger and a very vocal supporter of The Plump Pinay. :)
What is your size?
Usually a UK 12 / Medium
Who is your style icon?
I don't have a particular style icon, but I do LOVE curvy women who dress really well, such as Scarlett Johansson, Beyonce and Christina Hendricks. :)
Favorite store?
Zara & Forever21
Favorite pieces of clothing to wear?
Dresses & Blazers! On days when I'm not sure what to wear (or too lazy to decide what to wear), I just like to put on a white polo, jeans and nice shoes :)
I wanna be able to inspire other girls that you don't have to be stick thin to be considered as "stylish". Find out which ones suit your body shape the best, and wear it proud!
Where do you get your confidence from?
Besides The Plump Pinay? :) I get my confidence from myself. Sure, you have family, friends who will stand by you. But in the end, its really all up to you. BE CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF and do not live on the affirmations/compliments you get from other people.
It used to matter a lot to me. I would feel so bad and sorry for myself whenever someone would tell me, "You look like you've gained weight!". But as the saying goes, "NOBODY CAN MAKE YOU FEEL INFERIOR WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT". At the end of the day, what matters most is what YOU think about yourself.
Besides the fact that almost none of my jeans fit me anymore, I started to have health issues. I couldn't breathe normally, like I would feel tired after a big meal and especially after climbing a flight of stairs. The soles of my feet would always hurt too and you know, when that kind of stuff happens to you- you don't tell yourself that "Hey, its okay, I may be fat but I'm a good person!". Being a good person also means being good to yourself so I knew I had to do something about it. I didn't wanna resort to slimming pills and crash diets (like how I used to) so I started going to the gym, got myself a Nutritionist & a Personal Trainer. I wanted to be good to myself and I wanted to do everything right. Sure enough, I lost 25lbs after a couple of months. I was more confident, happier that I could fit in my old jeans again but most importantly, I felt healthier!
Don't try to lose weight because you want to look like a Victoria's Secret model. Do it because you want to be healthier. Do it for yourself and not because you want to catch a guy's attention. Love yourself because God made you in His image, therefore, you are beautiful :D

It's such a blessing to have a woman like Honey support this blog. I like her warmth, openness and friendliness! Not to mention we have a lot of things in common! She's definitely worth the feature. :) Do chance upon her own blog here.
