OoTD: Gypsy Woman

I just got home from Danah's pole dance recital, and I must say I am a very proud twin! :) She rocked that stage and awed the audience with her mad talent and skills! Plus, I really loved the fact that she was the biggest girl in all of her dance numbers (she was included in two), AND THE MOST GRACEFUL AND CONFIDENT TOO! I swear. No biases here. Ask the others who've watched the show. ;)

So this is what I wore awhile ago. :) I got a lot of comments from friends and family when they saw my outfit that I looked like a gypsy, hence the title of the post and the Crystal Waters video--which is actually one of my favorite '90s house songs! B) I love Crystal Waters!

Asymmetrical Dress (worn as top) Jun-Jun Cambe, SM Department Store | Maxi Skirt Nude Clothing | Sandals Chocolate Schu Bar | Shawl Borrowed from my mom | Leopard Bangles & Headband Topshop | Coil bracelet Accessorize | Black leather clutch F21 | Earrings Aldo | Rings Anagon Collection

The top in the photo is actually a bodycon dress (that my mom gave me months ago; only I couldn't figure out when to use it until now), and since my long-awaited maxi skirt had just arrived in the mail awhile ago, I couldn't resist not wearing it right away! So I tried to see how it would look if I put it over the skirt of the black dress and wore it high-waisted...and tada! I really liked how it came out! :)

I've also had the headband since last year, though again, I've never worn it because every time I put in on I feel like it makes the outfit too much, or OA na, you know what I mean? But I guess today my keber attitude got the best of me and decided to wear it anyway, because it does look nice with the whole outfit (and it's a disappointing waste of money if I never use it!). Plus, it added attitude and spunk, which is my kind of style. ;)

Oh, and one more thing... I really really really hope those nude sandals won't get worn out anytime soon (though I've been wearing it almost everyday)! It's definitely one of my favorite pairs from Chocolate Schu Bar because it's so cool (platitude), awesome (another platitude), stylish (again, a platitude), and comfy! Forgive me for stating the obvious about Chocolate Schu Bar shoes, but there's no other way to describe their fabulous footwear! :D

I'm happy and proud of myself with how this outfit turned out, because it's actually my first time to experiment with clothes that are not usually ME, let alone clothes that I've never worn and played with! So this is quite a styling progress. ;) Therefore, I conclude that playing outside the lines when it comes to fashion will lead to something fresh and brilliant! Go ahead plumpies, don't be afraid to try new and "not you" pieces on, because eventually, your style and confidence will surely make you own whatever outfit you're wearing! ;)

Goodnight sexies! :*

Keep workin' that beautiful body,
Stacy
