NEW YEAR, SAME OLD PLUMP BODY! :)

Prior to this year, every January 1st of a new year, I had aways resolved to lose weight. ALWAYS. It had always been number one on my list. But ever since I've come to love myself wholly and seen past all my flaws, reducing my weight has become the least of my priorities, or not even considered as one at all.

I sure as hell gained weight because of the Christmas feasts and parties. (Those were the most plethoric meals of the year last year! Good times.) But I am not at all in a frenzy to get back to a "sexier weight" (unlike most people). Besides, I'm through overindulging every time I eat anymore. The extra effort I put into stuffing myself and chewing all those delicious goodness are only worth the holiday food. :) Now that everything's over and done (and back to normal), so is my gluttony (actually that depends on the food laid out in front of me). :P

So... YEAR 2010! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! My idol (well, every big girl's idol, really), Crystal Renn, is just absolutely stellar on the 18-page editorial of this month's issue of Elle (Canada) Magazine. I'm really happy that plus-size models are slowly and gently making their way in the fashion industry. I fierily hope that the same thing happens here in our country. I hope that magazines start featuring more real and curvy girls, showcasing what the society has labelled as flaws as something just natural and beautiful. I dream that someday, people in the fashion and magazine industry here in the Philippines would shift their perspective and agree with me that not only stick-figured women can be glamorous models who deserve to be on the cover of high-fashion magazines.
