FAVE FIVE!

We've decided to make shopping a bit easier for you, plump ladies! :) And we hope that this post will help.

We know how hard it is to go inside a store after already falling in love with the clothes on the mannequins displayed, rummage through the items and realize how perfect they are for you, only to find out that they DON'T HAVE YOUR SIZE.

It's frustrating. It makes you ask WHY THE HELL DON'T THEY MAKE CLOTHES BIGGER?? Big girls are trendy too you know, and we don't like wearing lousy tops that make us look dowdy. SO WHY THE HELL WON'T THEY MANUFACTURE BIG SIZES?!

Am I right? Sure I am. I've been there a lot of times. But luckily some stores now do have plus sizes, and I don't mean maternity wear! HOORAY!

So we've made a list of our top five favorite stores that manufacture up-to-date clothes for us chunky women (stores on the list aren't arranged in order). :)

Dorothy Perkins

Caters to: UK size 8 to 22
We are DP freaks. From basic tees and long-sleeves that are really comfortable for casual wear to embellished and bejeweled dresses perfect for a night out, this store is full of items that are worth buying, it'll make you realize how indecisive you are. What I really love though are their jeans! I'm a shirt-and-jeans girl and I hate jeans that become uncomfortable already soon after eating. DP has got a variety of jeans in different cuts and washes available in big sizes so it's comfy to wear and doesn't make you look like a muffin.

MEGA MALL DEPARTMENT STORE

If you love cheap finds like we do, then you'd probably enjoy shopping in this fashion emporium. Here they've got a wide range of clothes that are fashionable and easy on the pocket. I'm certain that you will find something that suits your style whether you're going for a preppy, girly, funky, or edgy look. This is also were we usually snag lovely pairs of shoes! :) We've got plus size feet too (we both wear size 10-11 shoes) and we are just fans of Parisian Plus shoes (sizes range from size 10-14 me thinks) because their style and quality are impressive while still being extremely pocket friendly. I once bought a pair for only P450!

FOREVER 21

Caters to: Small to Large
I've got two words. Trendy and affordable. Those are the two reasons that got me obsessing over their stuff. Though they only have a minimal size range, their sizes are scant and inconsistent which means that some clothes are actually bigger than the size suggests. :) My mom is a size 16 and some of their large items fit her well. Their myriad accessories got me drooling too! (I overheard a boyfriend of a random shopper ask her after the girl picked out cross earrings: Are you sure gusto mo isuot si Jesus sa tenga mo? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! BOYS.)

GREENHILLS TIANGGE (FLEA MARKET)

Another inexpensive shopping haven! :) I love going around and getting myself dizzy in all the twists and turns inside Shoppesville. Definitely worth all the nifty and cool stuff they got over there. You may not notice, but there are actually quite a number of tiangges that specifically cater to plus size girls though they're a bit hard to find. I can't exactly point you the direction of these stalls because they reshuffle their positions quarterly, I think. But I'm 100% sure that there are fat-friendly stores in Greenhills--you're just gonna have to explore the place and discover which tiangges have the clothes you want. :)

MARKS AND SPENCER

More for the working big girls. They've got a wide array of sizes starting from UK size 6 up to size 30. They've got basic white tees that hug the body perfectly (you know how other tees wrap itself onto bodies waaaay too tightly that it becomes so unflattering). Their button-down long sleeved tops are recommendable too. I know because my mom buys all of her corporate wear in M&S. Personally, I like their underpants that come in multipacks. My mom gave me 3 sets of 4 a few Christmases ago and ever since they've been my favorite undies because of its funky designs and great quality. M&S also has the BEST BISCUITS IN THE WORLD! I love their Dark Chocolate Digestive Biscuits. It's made of whole-wheat flour so its rich in fiber. The biscuits are coated in dark chocolate so it's healthy and really toothsome as well (the biscuits are also available in milk chocolate).

There ya go! Try visiting these stores the next time you're on "retail therapy" or when you're scouting for fresh clothes. ;) And please share to us your favorite stores that have fat-friendly sizes too!

(None of the photos posted are mine. I just Googled 'em :D)

Keep lovin' that body,
