Last night, my family and I headed to Greenbelt5 to have a taste of the newest restaurant around, KRAZY GARLIK! It's been the talk of the town and we just had to see for ourselves what the buzz was all about.
Parma Ham with Mozzarella Cheese and a baked bulb of garlic
Bread with garlic and anchovies
What I loved:
- Harakiri rice - a spicy fried rice with seafood bits. It was so good! Sweet and spicy never fail to tickle my taste buds.
- Adobong ribs ng baboy (pork ribs) - this dish was baked to perfection! I love how I can eat as much garlic in this place only mostly because they bake 'em, and the flavor isn't as strong as when the cloves are fried. Baking garlic makes it sweet and mushy, it almost melts in your mouth. The sauce was very good, and the pork meat was very tender.
- Parma ham - the ham may be too salty for some, but I still liked it because of the Mozzarella cheese and baby tomatoes inside it (for me, the combination neutralizes the saltiness). Eat it with baked cloves and a bit of pesto sauce and have a tongue-asm.
As for your budget, you gotta have at least P500 to afford a decent meal in this place. As for the ambiance, Krazy Garlic's interior gives off a fancy, upscale feel, and their LCD screens playing Beyonce's concert is definitely a plus for me. ;)
Any of our family dinners wouldn't be complete without dessert! We all headed to Cold Rock after. :)
