Figarrific! :)

It's been more than a year since I last ate at this uber classy cafe. I almost couldn't believe it wasn't a franchise from abroad, because of the posh ambiance and feel every branch has. Then again, I was surprised when the prices on their menu wasn't heavy on the pocket. I remember eating their eggplant ciabattas before I catch a movie in Powerplant Mall, or grabbing a nice cup of tea after a hearty dinner in Greenhills. Good thing I was lucky enough to revisit Figaro cafe, after a friend invited me to try out their latest dishes. Who could say no to that?

I haven't been to the Emerald branch of Figaro, so I was quite impressed when I walked in the cafe.

The furniture, the interior, the lighting -- all three scream fancy AND cozy! Nonetheless, the combination makes the cafe welcoming, not all intimidating.

Now on to the fun part--EATING TIME! These are the latest dishes Figaro is offering.

Spagnolo Sardine and Magherita Pizza; Aglio Olio and Piccanti Gamberetti Pasta

We started off with their latest coffee. Peach (darker) and chocolate chip lattes.

I knew off the bat Stacy'd love the chocolate chip latte and I'd like the peach flavored one. True enough, I opted to finish the fruity goodness of the latter. The aroma really added to my enjoyment and the sweet and refreshing nip of the peach really went well with the coffee. I was honestly surprised, because I wasn't expecting the two flavors to complement each other.

The chocolate chip coffee was really good too! It had a distinct cookie flavor. It was lighter than the peach coffee, making it perfect after a hefty meal or during an afternoon 'me time' while reading a good book.

Figaro's been known for their beautiful coffee art! It adds that "made with love" factor. :)

After the warm-up (get it? :D), we proceed to the real deal -- PIZZAS AND PASTAS!

PC080349
Aglio Olio -- oil-tossed pasta. Nothing special, but what I loved was the perfectly cooked fettucini, and the tasty garlic bread with it! I'd say it's OK.

Piccanti Gamberitti -- another oil-tossed pasta, only with shrimps. I definitely loved the very tasty flavor of the shrimps on this one, and again, the al dente fettucini and garlic bread!

HERE COMES MY FAVORITE!!! IT'S ABSOLUTELY A MUST-TRY! Figaro's Spagnolo Sardine pizza is sooo good. The sardines, the cheese, the black olives, the thin-crust dough... IT WILL SERIOUSLY MAKE YOU WANT MORE. It's surely one the reasons why I'm going back.

Magherita pizza has always been a favorite of ours, and this particular one's really good! It's for those whose palettes aren't adventurous; it's simple and delicious. I personally liked it!

I like the size of Figaro's pizzas, because it makes it good enough for a person if you wanna make it your meal. I absolutely hate it when I wanna try out a pizza but it's too big to make it my lunch. I'll recommend these pizzas anytime, and I know I wouldn't be embarrassed. :)

And now for our pseudo-dessert...

Figaro's frost drinks! These are ice-blended flavored drinks -- not too sweet, not too strong. The latest addition to their flavors are Blackberry and White Chocolate Macadamia.

I'm not a fan of the dark berries, but I gotta admit, I enjoyed slurpin' on my BB frost! It was light and fluffy, which makes it easy to finish, unlike other blended drinks other coffee shops offer which make you feel full after. I liked the White Chocolate Macadamia more though, only because I'm such a dork for white chocolate. The macadamia flavor adds that extra oomph to it, which makes it all the more interesting to drink. :)

So that's it for my Figarrific dinner! :) Go and try it yourselves, Plumpies, and lemme know what you think! :)

Plump love and holiday feasts,
Danah ♥
